Community Outreach
The County of Bergen and the County of Essex in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) recognize that community participation is an integral part of all stages of projects, therefore a comprehensive Public Involvement Action Plan (PIAP) has been developed for this project. The outreach program was implemented during the LCD Study and LPE Phase to include local officials, community stakeholders, agency representatives, and the general public in the transportation improvement process for this bridge replacement. Community outreach and public involvement continues through the Final Design and Construction Phases of the project.
Community Outreach Strategy Elements include:
- Public Involvement Action Plan (PIAP)
